The Planning Continues

A Quick Update
I'm getting more and more excited about this trip to St. Lucia. Brandy Ramminger (the outreach leader) and I had a lengthy meeting today (which culminated with a phone-call to St. Lucia) and we are both so impressed with how things are coming together.
We spent time going over our teaching schedule for the boot-camp. The teaching time is so important because it helps the student to build a genuine & solid foundation on understanding of God. Some topics: Relationship with God, Holiness & Fear of the Lord, the Father Heart of God, Identity & Clean Conscience. They're all really practical.
Access Update!

Things are moving along quite nicely.
Students
We now have 6 students (a fantastic number) from Wisconsin, Idaho and Tennessee.
Staff
Our staff are: Brandy & Manuel Ramminger, Myself (Matthias), Bethany (an intern) and Vincent. We're really pleased with the team we have and love that we have such a high student/staff ratio. Makes for a better outreach for all!
Bootcamp Prep
Our bootcamp will be at our Discipleship Training Center 30 mins outside of Madison. Normally a training school is going on during our bootcamp, but this year we'll have the place to ourselves. Things are coming together very well.
Outreach in St. Lucia
We're in contact with a Pastor from a community called Laborie. He has a heart for the young people of his village and we are going to be working with him during our time there. We have flights booked (mostly) and a plan is forming!
Deadline Abolished

We decided that having a deadline wasn't helping anything, so please if you're worried about that.. don't be! Send in those applications!

Made Contact With St. Lucia
Submitted by matthias on Thu, 01/31/2008 - 20:56.
We have great news: We just received an email from a couple of YWAM friends in St Lucia. They are super excited about having a team of young people coming to work with the youth on the island.
We'll post more as we find out more!
This year Access is going to visit St Lucia.
Access is about reaching into the lives of your peers whether they are at your school or halfway around the globe. Our heart for this trip to connect with and reach the young people of St Lucia. We believe that all young people are capable of blessing and ministering with people of any age. We'd like to host youth events and seminars where we talk about God, about friendships and we get opportunities to pray for our St Lucian friends.
We'll be here in the states for a week of teaching, worship and fun, and then fly down to St Lucia for the remaining 2 weeks. Should be a blast!! Come and join us!
